He is part of the Technical Body of State Museums, currently ascribed to the Museo Sefardí in Toledo. He is also Associate Professor of the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Humanities School, where he teaches the subjects Museology and Conservation of Cultural Heritage. PhD in Art History by the Università degli Studi de Bolonia (Italy) and member of the Real Colegio de España in Bologna (Italy). He has received several training scholarships in museum: Museo Nacional del Prado, École du Louvre, Instituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere e Belle Arti, Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia etc.

He is a current member of the Commission created by the Ministry of Culture for the supervision of the museographic works of the Museo del Greco in Toledo, which is currently being restored.

He has studied the pictorial collection of the Museo del Greco (The “other” pictorial collection of the Museo del Greco). He was responsible for the General Inventory of Good s and Chattels of the Convent of Madres Jerónimas de San Pablo. He has published several works on different aspects of Spanish panting of the time of the Counter-Reformation and the Baroque.

Curator of the exhibition Tesoros Ocultos. Fondos selectos del Museo del Greco y del Archivo de la Nobleza, Hospital de Tavera, Toledo (2007), coordinator of the exhibition Lorenzo Tiepolo, Museo Nacional del Prado (1999) and Domenikos Theotokopoulos, 1900. El Greco,  Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, México D.F. (2009) and Palais des Beaux-Arts / Bozar, Brussels (2010).
