David Armengol

DAVID ARMENGOL Barcelona (1974)

Independent curator and artistic educator. Degree in History of Art at the Universidad de Barcelona.

His work shows two focus of interest: the educational argument contained in the contemporary artistic production and a curational analysis based on the reconsideration of the reception systems distinctive of expositive events.

In his role of educator, he has coordinated educational projects on contemporary art for the Fundación la Caixa, Diputación de Barcelona and the MACBA.

As curator he was co-responsible for the project UMPA Unitat Mòbil de Préstec d’Art, along with Cristian Añó, in the frame of the public intervention project Mobile Museums. With Martí Manen he explores the role of sound from an artistic context, co-curating different projects: Cartografies; Sons Secundaris, cupacions Sonores and Sound and Me and using different registers, such as gallery, art center or radiophonic frequency.
