WEB ACCESIBILITY

The STATE CORPORATION FOR SPANISH CULTURAL ACTION ABROAD, SEACEX, believes that technical progress and new technologies should be a source of opportunities for the integration of all persons, ensuring equal opportunities in access to information. In order to make the contents and functionalities of our site available to the largest possible number of users, even to users whose mother tongue is not Spanish and to those screen reader users, our web has been built with the following features.

ACCESIBILITY PLAN

To offer universal accessibility to our site, so we are visible to a wide spectrum of readers/surfers¸ the following functionalities have been included:

• User can control the font size with up to 6 size-magnifiers, a priceless help for those users with some degree of visual handicap.

• The full content of the site is available in two languages (English and Spanish) and the corporate section in three other languages (Catalan, Galician and Basque).

• The Web graphics and images include descriptive texts to facilitate surfing to those users who employ some kind of screen reader software.

• We use a font type that is easy to read (‘Arial’) as well as a clear, simple grammar.

• We provide users a clear, consistent form of surfing.

• We include a site map located at the bottom of the page as well as specific search engines in each section to help users perform a fast, efficient surfing.

• All contents and functionalities are also available for users that do not have tools to read images and execute scripts.
